ITALIAN CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS ? (feat. Babbo Natale and la Befana)
Europe has a variety of Christmas traditions and different gift bringers: for example, a Christmas goat in Finland, Grandfather Frost in Russia, Saint Basil in Greece, the Christmas lads in Iceland, and the caga tio in Catalonia (Spain).
And Italy is no exception, with several traditions and gift bringers depending on the region: Saint Nicholas (San Nicola), Saint Lucy (Santa Lucia), Baby Jesus (bambin Gesù) Santa Claus (Babbo Natale) and la Befana.
