“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” accompanied by the Italian Film Orchestra
Harry Potter sorcery is revived with the help of a real
symphony orchestra. In fact, for the first time in Italy, public will enjoy live symphony orchestra during the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone movie. Appointment on 2, 3 and 4 December 2016 at the Auditorium in Via della Conciliazione in Rome. This is the Italian tour involving 80 musicians on stage performing the soundtrack of the Oscar awarded John Williams in sync with the images, dialogue and special effects of the movie on a high-definition screen 12 meters wide. Conceived in the Forum Music Village – the historic recording studio founded in the late sixties by Ennio Morricone, Piero Piccioni, Armando Trovajoli, Luis Bacalov – The Italian Film Orchestra – directed by Justin Freer – aims to promote worldwide the musical legacy of movies soundtracks, both Italian and international. With the annexed restoration of unpublished or never recorded scores that – through the painstaking work of experts – has enabled the recovery of the historical repertoire with the support of associations, foundations and public and private archives. Supported by the Presidency of the Italian Republic and the ministries of Foreign, Culture and Economic Development, the Federico Fellini Foundation, Cinecittà Luce and Experimental Centre of Cinematography, the Italian Film Orchestra was the star of the Neorealism Sound (Rome, 2010), Cinematology (Beijing International Film Festival, 2011); The Artist (Ravello Festival, 2012); Beyond La Dolce Vita (UCLA Los Angeles, 2013); The Gold Rush by Charlie Chaplin (Rome, 2016).
